This post is for the people asking Realtors for their commission check on a purchase

As we all know, this seems to come up all the time now, when a buyer meets an agent,

The things is, this is crazy wrong, first off, this is the only business that I see this type on nonsense happening,and second of all when a buyer chooses to work with an Real Estate Agent to purchase a home, we as agents do not charge you a penny, there is no charge to use any agent to buy a house, we only charge you when you sell a house, so why are some buyers doing this, I will explain.

Some buyers think we charge them, when they buy a house

Well we don’t charge you anything, on a purchase of a home, so sometimes the word discount will come up, like this, buyer says were looking for a discount, and they say, do you offer a discount, or can you give us a discount, my answer to this is, yes we can do are best to negotiate the price on the home for you, after all that is my job, or then the buyer says, no I want you to give me money from your commission check, o ok then I would say to buyer, why are you asking for my commission check, we are not charging you one penny to purchase this home, the commission is paid to me by seller not you.

Do buyers ask anyone else this in business 

Then I tell buyers, do you ask other people you work with in business to give you money back when you work with them, do you ask your dentist for money back after he tells you how much it will cost to fix your teeth or do you ask your Attorney for money back after he tells you how much it will cost to use their service, and what about your plumber that fixed your sink or anything in your house, see my point, this is wrong.

Why some buyers ask Realtors for kick back

My thoughts are, you buyers that do think we Realtors make so much money, that we should help you in buying your house or you just don’t understand who pays who in the purchase, well we don’t owe you a penny, I know you think somehow were taking money from your purchase, wrong, learn how the process works, also you might be thinking, we make to much money, wrong, we have to advertise to get business and have many other bills just like any other business.

So next time before you buyers think about asking a realtor for so called discount

Think about it, learn who pays who, if you think we should help you buy the house, no your wrong, I don’t owe you anything, if you can’t buy the house with out asking for help then go somewhere else, but don’t ask Realtors, and if you still think Realtors have it easy and make tons of money, then go get your Real Estate License and try to do what we do, you will see how much we spend ever year just to get a few deals to pay our bills and support our family, so next time you want to ask a Realtor for their commission check that has nothing to do with you, well you know what you can do.
